New Commentary on Bouazizi

Muhammad Al Bouazizi continues to be remembered in press commentary around the world. In the last 24 hours stories have appeared in the Sydney Morning Herald, not once but twice, the New York Times, and on Bradenton.com. Please do read the stories but most of all write to Time here and ask them to Make Muhammad Al Bouazizi their Person of the Year 2011,and sign our petition.

Progress Report

Many thanks to everyone who has been writing to Time magazine, visiting the blog, signing the petition and visiting our Facebook page.

I will update details occasinally of how we are doing, traffic wise, so we can measure how the camapign is working.

We had our most visited 'day' of the camapign on 28 Feb when we measured 148 page impressions.

Visitors are coming from all round the world including UK, US, Canada, France, Germany, India and of course - Tunisia. In fact there are now too many countries to mention. Welcome all.

The petition now has 149 names and 177 'likes'. Please keep signing!

And our Facebook page is experiencing huge traffic with 4 figure page impressions and over 250 'likes' on the site.

Keep doing all this good stuff and passing the word along, and most importantly - please write to Time and ask them to make Muhammad Al Bouazizi their 'Person of the Year 2011'
